JINDRICH PETRAS - French horn
Jindřich Petráš born in 1961, studied French horn at the Brno Conservatoire and the Janáček Academy of Music and Arts under Professor František Šolc. During his studies, Jindřich became a member and later Principal/Solo French horn of the Brno State Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 1985 he took up the position of Principal/Solo French horn in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Jindrich is winner of competitions in Munich, Markneukirchen, Geneva and Prague. As a soloist he regularly performs both at the orchestral concerts with many leading orchestras (Czech Philharmony, Prague Philharmonia, Brno state Philharmonic Orchestra, Czechoslovak Chamber Orchestra ) and at the recitals with piano in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Since 1996 Jindřich is an associate professor at the Janáček Academy of Musical Arts and Conservatory in Brno, jury member of Prague Spring Festival Competition and perform with of the Prague Horn Trio and the Czech Wind Harmony.
